We operate a Quality System based on ISO 9001:2000, ISO/ IEC 17025:1999 ISO Guide 43-1 and 2:1997 and ILAC G13. More recently we have also incorporated ISO 22870 "POCT – requirements for quality and competence" in our Quality system. The organisation is directed by a consultant clinical biochemist with over 30 years experience in Laboratory Medicine. Our staff now includes a POCT Manager and 3 POCT Trainers with a wealth of experience in dealing with queries from POCT sites. We have a dedicated "hotline" for all enquires from our POCT clients.
CPA Accredited
The POCT schemes are accredited by Clinical Pathology Accreditation (CPA). CPA is a national accreditation agency in partnership with United Kingdom Accreditation agency (UKAS). All accredited Schemes are listed on their website www.cpa-uk.co.uk. The POCT glucose, Urinalysis and Pregnancy Testing Schemes were accredited in April 2004 and the web based Lipid POCT Scheme was registered with CPA (EQA) in March 2007. In addition we are currently piloting two new projects - Haemoglobin and International Normalised Ration (INR).
We have nearly 30 years experience as a National EQA provider and provide a large number of accredited EQA Schemes for Laboratory Medicine including HbA1c, pregnancy testing, and urine microalbumin.
