Happy New Year to all our Participants
We are pleased to announce our WEQAS EQA organisation has been recommended by UKAS for accreditation for compliance with conformity assessment - General requirements for proficiency testing (ISO/CASCO 17043:2010). Our WEQAS Reference Laboratory has also been recommended for accreditation of Medical Reference Laboratories against ISO 15195 in combination with ISO/IEC 17025:2005, we are extremely proud of our Reference Laboratory, as this will be the only laboratory in the UK to have achieved this status.
The 2012 WEQAS User Group Meeting and Scientific Seminar is to be hosted at the Cardiff Hilton Hotel on 5th and 6th December. We wish to thank our participants who attended our 2011 User Group Meeting and contributed to making this event an enjoyable experience for all.

The recent raffle at this year's User Group meeting raised £121.50 for Macmillan Cancer Research, we would like to thank all our participants in helping us to raise this money. We would also like to congratulate members of our staff, raising £77 for Macmillan Cancer Research and two of our Biomedical Scientists, Rafal and Jenny, who participated in a night time charity walk for Shine and raised £560.
